Časté otázky
01When are the intakes at Mendel University?
Twice a year - February and September. Applications for the September intake should be complete by late spring so that nostrification, the admission letter and the visa appointment all fit before the semester starts; your ahoy counsellor sets the dates for your profile.
02How much does an English-taught programme at Mendel cost?
Between 65,000 and 80,000 CZK a year depending on the programme - Economics and Management and General Agriculture are at 80,000 CZK, International Territorial Studies and European Forestry from 65,000 CZK. Tuition is paid per academic year, and the exact fee is confirmed in your admission letter.
03How long are the degrees?
Bachelor's programmes run three years and Master's programmes two, all taught in English. Every Mendel programme ahoy places into is a full-time degree accredited in the Czech Republic and recognised across the EU.
04What does accommodation cost in Brno?
Below 5,000 CZK a month in university halls, which is where most first-year international students live. Brno is the Czech Republic's second city and its largest student town, so private shared flats are also plentiful; ahoy's accommodation desk arranges either before you fly.
05Do I need nostrification to apply to Mendel?
Yes - Mendel requires your Indian Class 12 certificate or bachelor's degree to be formally recognised by the Czech authorities. ahoy Docs handles the MEA apostille, the certified Czech translation and the submission, so start your documents early; the recognition can take one to three months.
06Is IELTS required?
Not always. Mendel accepts proof of English proficiency, and many ahoy students apply with a Medium of Instruction (MOI) certificate from their previous institution instead of IELTS or TOEFL. Your counsellor confirms which applies to your programme.
